The Next Chapter........Doctor

Today I decided to pick-up the pen and stop making excuses, for not starting on my dissertation.  I must admit that the subject is very touchy and controversial for some, but none the less it's an important subject that needs to be addressed, in order for healing to take place.

Sexual immorality, in the church, is becoming a widespread virus that has no respecter of persons nor denominations.  It's running through churches, destroying lives and giving many a bad taste in their mouths about God.  The actions of one has the ability to cause many to reap the consequences and often wonder "why".....Why did this happen to me?

In my effort to do this paper justice, I've decided to interview the abused and the abusers.  I'm doing personal interviews, in order to present factual information about the brokenness, emotional distress and loss of self-esteem that overcome those who have been abused and those who make the conscious decision, to cross a line that was never meant to be crossed!

Many "churches" try to handle sexual and immoral issues through "silence" but it's my heart and passion to give "voice" to the victim and drown out the "silence" of cover-ups, pay-offs and deals that are made, to sweep things under the rug, never to be spoken of again.

As I do my research and I read these heart breaking testimonies, from so many who found themselves on the wrong side of the altar, it fuels my passion, to seek spiritual justice, by demanding accountability and responsibility, from those claiming to be called by God.

Although my paper will not reveal the identities of the people I interview, the words will give identity to the hurt and pain of those who walked into a church seeking HELP and found HELL.

It's Your Time Now!

Well, hello and Happy New Year!  It's been a while since we've chatted but I'm so excited about 2012. I started the year out in Holy Consecration Convocation, with my church and I'm feeling so FREE!

I'm in a good place just trying to hear God's clear instructions for 2012.  I believe this is the season of release and those who are faithful and committed to God will SEE the manifestation of His promises.  Don't think the enemy is going to sit back and just let you walk in destiny without giving you some resistence.  You already know he's coming so just be prepared because it's Your Time Now!

I shouldn't have to tell you the importance of surrounding yourself with destiny-driven people, but I feel like reminding you anyway. This is the beginning of a new year, new season and a new opportunity, for you to LIVE.  The decisions that you make early this year will set the pace and chart your course, for the latter part of the year.  You have to make destiny decisions, not emotional decisions! 

The key is "beginning with the end in mind".  That is one of Stephen Covey's, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.  I find that to be so important because, if you start a thing thinking about the end, you'll do whatever you can, to start it right.  There is nothing magical about living life on purpose, you just need to be INTENTIONAL, in doing so.  You must wake-up every morning with a praise on your lips, God's promise in your heart and a passion, to pursue purpose with everything you got.  I believe It's Your Time.  No hype, no crystal ball, no palm reading, just a knowing down in my soul that we serve a God who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think.... He cannot lie.  He's not slack concerning His promises and He desires for you to live the God-Best Life!
